When my oncologist told me that the meatball would shrink dramatically after the first chemo, I really didn’t expect this! It hardly deserves the term meatball anymore. Maybe “Swedish meatball.”
It’s barely there! You can still see a little distortion on my jawline, but unless you’re really looking, you’d never know there was anything wrong with me.
The way it feels to the touch is different, too. It used to be smooth, now it feels crenellated. It’s also harder.
I’m almost looking forward to my next chemo. Not like I’m worried about losing my hair. (Beard, yes, hair, not so much.)
